Hier zeige ich euch den Tamiya Porsche 962C.

Im Gegensatz zum Porsche 956 ist dieser hier curbside.
Die Karosserie ist also in einem gegossen und lässt sich nicht öffnen.
Leider sind auch die Scheiben schon fix montiert. Dafür gibt uns Tamiya Abdeckmasken zum lackieren.

Die Details die man sieht (Aufhängungen, Getriebe, Cockpit) sehen ganz ordentlich aus.
Lassen aber auch noch Spielraum für Verbesserungen.

Tamiya hat den 962 in einigen Varianten herausgebracht. Der Bausatz ist immer der Gleiche.
Nur die Decals sind jedes Mal anders.

Fazit:

Es ist nicht der "Überdrüber"-Bausatz, aber ausreichend für ein nettes Modell.

Der Bausatz basiert auf dem Tamtech 962 - einem RC-Modell.
Die Karosse ist vom Tamtech und dazu wurde noch der Spritzrahmen mit den Fahrwerks- und Cockpitteilen gelegt sowie der Unterboden.
Die Heckpartie entspricht nicht dem Orignal, was dem Einbau des E-Motors und der RC-Anlage geschuldet ist, die 1986 noch nicht die heutige Packungsdichte hatte und entprechend groß war für ein 1/24'er Modell.

Ich zitiere mal jaykay aus dem Automotiveforum:
The main issue of the Tamiya besides the glass is of course the shallow side radiator intakes. Because of them the bodywork starting from the front hood and running around the cockpit sides is wrong. The tail is also not correct. This has been optimized so the injection tooling will work with the molded in rearwing element.
Die Radiatoreinläufe in den Türen sind viel zu flach, man Vergleiche die Bausatzkarosse mit dem Bausatzkastenbild.

Hier noch ein paar weitere Fehler:
the Tamiya 962C has very shallow door inlets. It was long thought that this was due to its TamTech RC background, to make room for the RC internals. But other models from the same series do have deep inlets, so this explanation appears to incorrect. It seems that the car Tamiya measured really had these intakes. Indeed some IMSA cars had more shallow inlets. But this was usually only on the right side (as far as can be seen), and did not results in four very squashed radiators, as Tamiya moulded. The inlet question remains unsolved for now. Another issue is that the body has integral windows. Since the From-A model is yellow, there is no way of getting rid of the yellow plastic showing at the edges of the windows. It is reported that one brave modeler popped them out of the body; I tried it, but I chickened. I had some doubts about the wheelbase (being compromised to make it fit on the standard TamTech RC chassis), but it measures OK. I'm not completely sure, but the cars looks like a 1988 season 962 to me: it has larger rear wheel, circular rear wheel openings, and lower venturi tunnels. The Kurzheck (short tail) wing is molded integrally with the main body. Underneath the wing, the rear body has a nasty step. Reportedly the wing supports need to be replaced. Lastly, there are large holes for screws on each side, with plastic plugs.

Naja,der einzige ,schwer zu behebende Fehler,sind wohl die Lufteinlässe auf Höhe der Türen.
Alles andere,das der Kollege anspricht,kann geändert bzw. wie die Scheiben beim lackieren,berücksichtigt werden.
Und falsch ansich ist die Karo nicht,nur eben nicht perfekt!
