Beschreibung:
An dieser Stelle möchte ich das Modell der Varyag vorstellen. Wikipedia sagt zum Original folgendes:

Das Modell besteht aus 19 Spritzlingen mit insgesamt 406 Teilen. Fertiggestellt ist das Schiff 53,12cm lang und 6,0cm breit. Der Verpackung liegen auch eine kleine Ätzteilplatine für das Radar, die mehrseitige Bauanleitung sowie ein etwa A3-großes Bild mit detaillierten Bemalungshinweisen bei. Man kann das Modell mit Vollrumpf oder als Wasserlinienmodell bauen.
Die Gußäste tragen die Seriennummer 04518 und stammen vom baugleichen Modell der Slava. Es ist ja auch verständlich, das man für die Varyag nicht neue Formen herstellt und nur die Decals ändert.
Fazit:
Die Plastik und die Anleitung machen einen ordentlichen Eindruck. Ich habe keine Grate, Fischhaut oder ähnliches gefunden. Es gibt schön herausgearbeitete Details wie z.B. Lüftungsgitter am Schornstein oder Leitern. Einige Spritzlinge sind aus durchsichtiger Plastik wie z.B. der Rumpf des Hubschraubers oder ein Teil der Aufbauten.
Die Platine mit den Ätzteilen macht auf mich einen etwas dicken Eindruck. Wer möchte, kann sich für etwa 50 Euro die umfangreichen Platinen von WEM oder GMM zur Slava-Klasse zulegen. Dort sind dann auch Relings enthalten.

In der Bauanleitung ist nicht ein Bauteil mit der Farbe gekennzeichnet, mit der es angemalt werden soll. Dafür gibt es - wie oben beschrieben - die eine A3-Seite. Aber auch dort muß man sich einige Sachen zusammenreimen. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mal das Internet nach Fotos vom Original durchsucht und bin fündig geworden. Und wie so oft im Modellbauer-Leben weichen die Fotos des Originals von den Trumpeter-Angaben ab.

Also sollte man sich einen Bauzustand aussuchen, der einem gefällt und danach dann die Bemalung richten. 8)
