Here is an update on some of the new kits due from Eduard in 2007.
The all-new Messerschmitt Me 262B (#4421) will be released as a 'Dual Combo' edition during January with two kits in the box, markings for four options and a small photo-etched fret including such things as the nose radar aerials. This kit will retail for $9.95 and will be followed in March 2007 by a similar edition of the single-seat Me 262A.
Due for release in February will be the all-new SPAD XIII 'Early version' as a 'Dual Combo' edition with four marking options and photo-etched. The all-new Nieuport Ni.17 originally scheduled for release in February has now moved to April.
Probably the busiest area of Eduard's activities, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 (#8173) that sold out so quickly will be reissued during January. Also due at that time is a reissue of the ex-Accurate Miniatures Ilyushin Il-2m Shturmovik (#8165), which will now come with pre-painted photo-etched and decal options for five machines. Just 3,000 copies will be available worldwide with a retail price of $49.95, so order yours quickly, as the previous
Yak-1b (#1126) sold out in three days!
February will see the release of two reissued subjects in the 'Weekend' series in the form of the Roland C.II and Nieuport Ni.16.
March will see the release of the 'Royal Class' Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8, with just 2,000 copies available worldwide and a retail price of $165.00.
In April the Polikarpov I-16 Type 10 'In Spanish service' as a 'Dual Combo' edition will be released. Due at some stage during the second quarter will be the all-new Avia B-534,
Due in the third quarter is the much anticipated all-new Messerschmitt Bf 110 series, with the first boxing, the Bf 110D, planned for release in August.
The final quarter will include a few surprises not least of which is a new Grumman F6F Hellcat due in both F6F-3 and F6F-5, versions. This will be followed in 2008 by a 'Royal Class' edition of the subject. Other items due at various stages in 2007 will include the SPAD XIII, Fokker E.III and Fokker Dr.I.
